FORD RANGER NAMED "4X4 & PICK-UP" OF THE YEAR BY A FEMALE JURY

The jury, which is unique in the industry as it consists exclusively of women, is made up of 63 female motoring journalists from 45 countries spread over five continents.

Cars in six categories are evaluated on the categories: safety, driving dynamics, comfort, technology, design, efficiency, impact on the environment and value for money. The jury was impressed by the Ranger's versatility and commented as follows: “ It is a reliable, stylish and charismatic pick-up that moves over any road surface. It is as efficient as an all-terrain vehicle but more practical thanks to its cargo bed.”

Liz Pelling, Head of Communications at Ford Pro, Europe says: “The all-new Ford Ranger is the toughest and smartest yet, packed with innovative design and engineered by our teams located around the world. Thanks to the jury for this award which recognizes Rangers' global potential.”

The Ranger will now compete for the most honorable designation, 'Car of the Year', which the WWCOTY jury will announce on International Women's Day on March 8.
